Due to a complication related
to breeding, we have suffered the tragic loss of CH Arimich Zinnia Von Links SL (Zoey). She was a wonderful beautiful girl
who had a most impressive show career but more so, brought joy and love to all.

GONE TOO
SOON
Cassie gave birth on July 29, 2002. With Lucy's help, she had 2
boys and 4 girls. One girl was destined to become CH Arimich Zinnia Von Links SL (Missy Zoey).
As a puppy, Zoey showed potential for the
ring. She met Connie who saw not only a wonderful addition to her family, but a champion.
Co-owed by Connie and Lucy, Zoey was trained
by Connie and her show career was off to a great start. She was shown in Florida taking Winner's Bitch at Vero Beach in
April 2003 and Best of Opposite Sex at Miami in April 2003. She was also awarded Best Longhair Puppy in these two shows.
Zoey represented the Longhair Dachshund Breed at two Eukanuba Shows at the "Meet The Breed" table. She was
in Orlando as a young girl and then participated again in Tampa in 2005.
Later in the year, Zoey hit the road and
found herself in San Diego California where she won Best of Opposite Sex at a Specialty which gave her a four point
major . Heather was there and handled her.
Zoey moved on to more prestigious wins. She
took Best of Winners at the Southeast Florida Combined Specialty Show in West Palm Beach, March 2004 and then finished her
championship the same weekend with a Major/Best of Winners win at the age of 1 year and 7 months after exactly
12 months in the ring.
There were other
Best of Breed and Best of Opposite wins. Our very favorite was her Best of Variety win at the Florida Gulf Coast
Dachshund Show in July 2005 under Judge Linda Wade. Zoey was indeed a true Champion.
In February 2006, Zoey went to New York to
compete at The Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show. She was a winner in our eyes although there was no ribbon.
Zoey certainly had a winning show career. Additionly
she was a popular visitor at her mom's school where she played with the "Little Wrangler" students and participated
in Meet the Pet programs. Our fondest memories of Zoey are the love she shared with her family, her sunny disposition, and
the admiration of all those who knew her. She will always be with us.
